Synopsis

Farishta

Once upon a time there was a Rich Raibahadur whose son and daughter-in-law having died, had left him with the responsibility of looking after his twin grandchildren Rajesh and Tina.

One day Rajesh was kidnapped..... And there was Shera, a Street dog, who saved Rajesh and became his friend....

And there was Khanchacha, a poor blind street-singer, who took upon himself the task of raising Rajesh but.... . .... .

There was Ustad, a monster, who threatened children and made them pick pockets and rob and burgle and steal and in the process stole their "Childhood" away from them.

And then there was Rajesh, now known as Raju, who grew up to be a thief and at 14 years of age already knew the ways of the cruel world around him. One day unknowingly, he robs the house of Raibahadur, his own grandfather.....

And there was Chotu, a young innocent orphan with a dream to study and better himself and Raju takes upon himself the responsibility of fulfilling that dream. Alas...

And there was Vilayati Babu, in reality a Police Inspector who enters the Basti to investigate the report of crimes being committed by a Gang of Children.

And there was Kashibai, the owner of Daru adda, a tough woman surviving in a tough world, who falls in Love with the Inspector. . . . .

And there was Tina, now also l4years of age and still missing her long lost brother Fate intervenes.....

Raju meets Raibahadur and Tina and without knowing their relationship, a close friendship develops between them and Raju is treated as a family member.

And Ustad decides on using Raju's friendship with Raibahadur, to kidnap Tina and Claim a large amount of money as ransom-----

Does Raju kidnap his sister ? Does Ustad's evil plan succeed ? Is the Inspector successful in his mission ? And what happens to Khanchacha and Chotu ? And Shera.

All these and many more questions are answered in " Farishta", a story of a clash between Angels and the Devil, a clash between the forces of light and the forces of Darkness, a clash between Good and Evil, where the "Farishta", the boy Raju, denied his Childhood, robbed of his innocence, is struggling to better his existence.
